Working Towards a Better Tomorrow

Our Story

“My decision to teach derived from my harsh experiences growing up and my awareness of the importance in educating the less fortunate youths within the community.  I became very passionate about the welfare of the children and decided to commit my life’s work to advocating and being a voice for them during their most fragile and vulnerable early stages in their lives.  As a result ASCF was created”.

ABOUT US

AfframSikpa Children’s Foundation (ASCF) is an NGO that was established in 2012 by a teacher, Christian M. Affram with the help of Michael Agrobesah and Samuel W. Affram.  ASCF works in cooperation with nesola nicht-allein e.v, Germany which is also a non-profit organisation working to support  disadvantaged people around the world.

Christian Affram spent most of his early childhood in Pakro, a village in the Akuapim South Municipal district in the Eastern Region of Ghana.  Growing up in Pakro was difficult and even more so studying there was a challenge due to the adverse circumstances faced by most of the community.  However through sheer determination and support, he was able to complete his education and also dedicated his career to teaching.

VISION

We are working towards a community where by children are free from the obstacles that poverty brings and to a better one where they can live and enjoy a happy life. Committed to ensuring every child will receive an adequate education, better health care from simple to devastating aliments/diseases such as Malnutrition, Malaria, and HIV/AIDS etc.

ASCF aims to become a well-known local organisation dedicated to empowering the community in being self-sufficient.

In order to achieve these objectives and goals, we have launched different programs and partnerships in the following areas:

  • Educational outreach programmes.

  • Financial assistance for children who cannot afford to attend school.

  • Providing school supplies and building schools where needed.

  • Raising awareness and teaching children about Environmental Sustainability, Global issues, and Well-Being.

  • Self-esteem education to enable them in becoming self-sufficient young adults within their community and globally.

  • Leadership empowerment programmes which will help create responsible adults, and also enable them to realise their own potential and the impact it can have on the rest of the world.
